Front End Engineer

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal

CircuitLeap is seeking an exceptional Front End Engineer to join our team and help shape the user experience of our groundbreaking AI-powered analog design platform. You'll be at the forefront of creating intuitive, responsive, and visually stunning interfaces that make complex semiconductor design accessible to engineers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sophisticated, performant user interfaces using React, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui components.
• Architect and maintain scalable state management solutions using Jotai and Redux for complex application flows.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow between frontend and Python-based services.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring smooth interactions even with large-scale circuit visualization and simulation data.
• Champion best practices in code quality, testing, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Contribute to full-stack features when needed, leveraging Python for backend enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development with deep expertise in React ecosystem.
• Mastery of modern React patterns including hooks, context, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proven experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries like shadcn/ui for rapid UI development.
• Strong proficiency in state management using both Jotai (atomic state) and Redux (global state).
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Python and ability to work on full-stack features when needed.
• Track record of building responsive, accessible web applications that work flawlessly across devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Three.js) for complex technical interfaces.
• Familiarity with WebGL, Canvas API, or other technologies for rendering circuit diagrams and simulations.
• Knowledge of Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django) and RESTful API design.
• Understanding of WebSockets and real-time data streaming for live simulation updates.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Background in EDA tools, semiconductor design, or technical/scientific applications is a plus.
