Our development programs include enabling at-home lab draws and infusions, preventing peripheral neuropathy, and preventing hair loss caused by chemotherapy. We’ve proven our ability to bring technologies to patients, with several active clinical trials around the world.
We’re looking for a
Medical Director to become the next key leader in our organization
as we build our US medical function. You will be the key link between technology and implementation at the patient level – taking new advanced technologies and designing new services to implement them. Working closely with our CEO, Chief of Staff, Commercial team
and Pipeline R&D group, you will be the point of contact for designing, operating, and expanding our Medical Services division. You will also work closely with the Commercial team to support new clinics in engaging with Luminate services and technologies.

What You Will Do:
- Design and develop a highly effect Medical Services program to deliver home infusion to oncology patients by:
- Assisting Luminate in the establishment, review, and implementation of medical policies and protocols used in the provision of infusion care.
- Guides Luminate Health with determining relevant educational content to provide quality care for patients.
- Assists in outreach with potential clients by serving as the medical representative for the organization.
- Drive a high-standards Medical Services organization with unsurpassed quality of patient care:
- Abides by company policies and procedures while ensuring that professional standards of clinical practice are maintained by staff members providing hands on care.
- Creates or reviews standing orders for premedication or management of adverse effects related to infused therapies.
- Active participation in quality assurance meetings and programs by identifying patterns and reviewing collected data while making suggestions for improvement.
- Documents all staff and patient interactions in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Follows current clinical practice guidelines in the provision of infusion care to patients.
- Maintains and active and unencumbered medical license for all states where providing supervision.
- Manage a high-functioning team by:
- Sponsors and supervises the advance practice of Nurse Practitioners employed by the clinic.
- Participates in discipline and corrective action plans for clinical staff as needed.
- Participates as needed in TB testing and hepatitis B (and other, as needed) immunizations for staff members by ordering or providing medical advice.
- Adheres to Luminate Health policies and procedures to ensure uninterrupted coverage of the medical director is maintained.

Requirements – The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- MD or DO qualification from an accredited School of Medicine.
- Current state licensure for supervising location (available on application).
- Board Certification in Oncology and Hematology.
- Continuing education necessary to maintain licensure.
- 3 years+ of clinical practice in Hematology/Oncology.
- Sound knowledge of current NCCN guidelines and oncologic treatment advances, clinical research, and healthcare regulations.
Advantages – It Would be Advantageous to Have:
- A qualification in medical device manufacturing.
- A qualification in a technical background.
- Ability to learn and become competent with company used computer, telephone, and partner programs, where applicable (i.e. Office 365, Citus, CareTend, and other programs utilized).
- Ability to learn and become competent with third-party referral platforms as needed (i.e. Allscripts, Navihealth, EPIC) as needed to maintain efficient workflow.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Health Status Requirements:
- Appropriate immunizations current and TB screening (as required by policy).
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
- Other State and Federal required health tests allowable by law.
