We are looking for a Petfood Business Development Manager to help us grow our presence in the pet nutrition market. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain commercial ownership of a high-potential segment while learning from seasoned commercial leadership.

You’ll focus on building customer and distributor relationships, managing early sales pipelines, and supporting the execution of our petfood go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Market Engagement & Sales Execution

  • Identify and engage prospective customers in the petfood industry.
  • Support in converting leads into commercial partnerships — from first contact through deal closure.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored product presentations and samples with technical support from internal teams.

Customer Success & Relationship Management

  • Build lasting relationships by understanding customer needs and acting as their internal advocate.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and post-sale satisfaction in coordination with operations and technical teams.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Research trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to help shape MicroHarvest’s petfood positioning.
  • Provide insights to support pricing, product development, and marketing initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in petfood sales, ideally bringing an existing network in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Comfortable navigating technical products and translating them into business value.
  • Proactive, self-starting, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Fluent in English;
  • Willingness to travel (~20–30%), including outside of Europe.
