Who you are

Mitiga is excited to welcome an experienced Innovation Bid Specialist to our dynamic team! If you have experience in creating and managing the bid process for innovation challenges, from developing detailed, costed, and persuasive proposals to winning contracts, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for someone with a go-getter attitude who won’t rest until every nook and cranny has been explored for bid opportunities that help advance Mitiga’s strategic goals.

You’ll bring exceptional writing skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive proposals. Your creative flair shines through in the engaging decks you create to close deals effectively, demonstrating your strong command of both data and visual storytelling.

You prefer to work independently, with minimal direction, shaping and executing your own innovation bid strategy. At the same time, you’re a strong team player, eager to collaborate with the rest of the Mitiga team. You will gather insights from colleagues to develop winning proposals and support them in their own commercial tenders and public grant opportunities.

You likely have a background in consulting or direct industry experience in some of our targeted sectors, such as infrastructure, energy, commercial real estate, asset management, or climate.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, you are enthusiastic about using innovation challenges as a pathway to shape our products and strategies. These challenges tend to be the entry point of different industries into their climate journey and often may require some level of exploration and co-development (unlike plug&play commercial tenders).

What you'll do

• You will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer. You’ll also interact with the commercial (sales) and R&D (public grants) teams as well as engage with our technology and consulting partners.
• You will take charge of the entire bid process for innovation challenges, from initial proposal creation to contract win. This entails relentlessly hunting for bid opportunities that align with Mitiga’s strategic objectives. You will also use your exceptional writing skills in English (and bonus points if you know Spanish or other languages!) to create detailed, costed, and persuasive proposals that close deals.
• You will create a successful strategy for winning a bid, carving out our unique selling points and understanding our clients’ specific requirements. For that, you need to bring your A game in terms of researching, writing, and validating proposals.
• Shape and execute your own innovation bid strategy with minimal direction.
• You will collaborate with the rest of the Mitiga team to gather insights for developing winning proposals and support them in their own commercial tenders and public grants.
• You will put together budgets, respond to prospects’ queries before, during and after the bid has been submitted.
• You will also support the strategy team in researching current and future market trends, especially in bringing more understanding of needs and pain points from our targeted sectors.
