About the Role
Mitiga Solutions is a climate-risk analytics company helping infrastructure operators, energy companies, and financial institutions understand the physical and financial impact of a changing climate on their assets and operations.
We're growing our commercial team and looking for an Account Executive ready to take the next step in their career in a mission-driven organisation. You will carry your own quota, and manage mid-market and growth accounts end-to-end.
If you have 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, an interest in infrastructure, energy, or sustainability, and the drive to sell a technically sophisticated product in a fast-moving startup environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Account Executives and our C-level on complex deals: shape the technical narrative and ensure prospects clearly understand the business value of Mitiga’s platform.
- Run rigorous business value assessments, quantifying climate risk exposure, regulatory liability, and portfolio impact in terms that resonate with financial and risk stakeholders.
- Design and deliver tailored demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements for sophisticated audiences including CROs, CFOs, sustainability officers, and infrastructure asset managers.
- Support RFP responses, security reviews, and technical due diligence, writing well, thinking fast, and never letting a process stall because of you.
- Support complex delivery of bespoke solutions, from creating compelling climate risk reports to running workshops that bring value to the client and help close a deal.
- Keep abreast of the regulatory landscape (TCFD, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR) and help prospects understand where they are exposed and why now matters.
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in sustainability or ESG advisory (Big 4 sustainability practice, boutique ESG/climate consultancy, or a climate risk SaaS platform).
- Hands-on experience advising corporates or infrastructure clients on risk, sustainability or physical climate risk assessment and roadmaps.
- Demonstrated ability (or clear ambition) to move from advisory into a commercially accountable role.
- Technically rigorous: comfortable with climate data, risk modelling concepts, and regulatory frameworks and able to explain them in a simple and convincing manner.
- Commercially sharp: you understand deal dynamics, know how to qualify, and are energised by winning (or are willing to learn).
- Exceptional communicator: you can hold a room of sceptical executives and make complex ideas feel obvious.
- Self-starter with a bias for action. You don’t wait for a perfect process; you build one.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, finance, engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or commercial advisory role.
- Familiarity with geospatial or climate data tools (e.g., hazard datasets, exposure modelling).
- Existing network across infrastructure investors, real assets, insurance, or financial services.
- Working knowledge of CSRD, SFDR, or SEC climate disclosure rules.
