Senior Software Developer (Manufacturing & Technology)

RESONIKS

RESONIKS

Software Engineering, IT
Tampere, Finland
Posted on Feb 5, 2026
Company Overview
At RESONIKS, we combine acoustics, AI, and purpose-built hardware to transform quality control in manufacturing. Our technology detects hidden structural defects in metal and composite components within seconds, faster, more cost-effective, and more reliable than traditional inspection methods. This enables manufacturers to move toward fully automated, zero-defect production.

We’re a fast-growing deep-tech startup operating across the Netherlands, Finland, and Germany, tackling complex challenges at the intersection of machine learning and industrial engineering. If you’re driven by real-world impact, cutting-edge technology, and the opportunity to shape the future of automated quality control, RESONIKS is the place for you.

The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, execution-oriented Senior Software Developer to join our on-site engineering team. This role is designed for a dedicated individual contributor who loves solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced startup environment. Rather than focusing on management or leadership, we need a "developer's developer", someone with a profound understanding of software craft, high-performance systems, and robust engineering principles. You will be responsible for building the core of our deep-tech products, ensuring that every line of code is efficient and scalable.
Responsibilities
  • Execute & Implement: Design and develop high-quality, scalable software solutions primarily using Python and Rust.
  • System Optimisation: Build and maintain performance-critical systems with a focus on parallel processing and efficient resource management.
  • Engineering Excellence: Apply rigorous software engineering principles (Clean Code, SOLID, Design Patterns) to ensure maintainability and stability.
  • Troubleshoot: Deep-dive into complex bugs and performance bottlenecks to optimise system reliability.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the engineering team in an on-site startup setting to turn research and ideas into production-ready code.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development at a senior level.
  • Core Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of its ecosystem.
  • Software Fundamentals: A rock-solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design. You should have a “gut feeling” for how software behaves under load.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and testable code while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Concurrency: Strong understanding of parallel processing, asynchronous programming, and multi-threaded environments.
  • Startup Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-growth, agile environment.
  • Language: Professional English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Presence: This is an onsite-first role; we value the speed and synergy of face-to-face collaboration, while allowing reasonable flexibility in working hours and occasional work from home.
  • Nice to Have (The “Plus” Skills):
    – Experience with Rust and its asynchronous ecosystem (e.g., Tokio, Actix).
    – Experience with DevOps tools or performance profiling.
Working at RESONIKS
