People & Talent Manager
Your mission
Today, we're a team of around 50 people – and we are just getting started. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a People & Talent Manager to help us scale thoughtfully. As part of our Business Operations team, you'll take ownership of our existing People practices and continuously improve how we hire, support, and retain our team. You'll have a direct hand in shaping the employee and candidate experience at Vyoma — ensuring our People processes are effective and designed with genuine care.
You'll move between operational and strategic tasks depending on where you're needed most, including supporting hiring when the team is in a growth phase. This role is designed to grow — as Vyoma scales, so will your scope and seniority.
Your responsibilities will include:
People Operations
- Manage and continuously improve core employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, probation reviews, performance feedback cycles, and offboarding
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, admin topics, and day-to-day People matters
- Review and maintain company policies and documentation (e.g., remote work guidelines, leave policies, employee handbook)
- Coordinate monthly payroll preparation in collaboration with our external provider and finance team
- Manage our HRIS system (Personio) - ensuring accurate data, clean workflows, and actionable reporting
- Support team engagement through feedback cycles and culture-building initiatives
- Contribute to launching learning and development initiatives, including structured onboarding plans and feedback tools
Talent Acquisition
- Lead or actively support full-cycle recruiting across departments during growth phases
- Partner with Hiring Managers to help define role requirements and contribute to thoughtful talent planning
- Help maintain a positive, consistent candidate experience that reflects our culture and values
While the scope is broad, not all of these areas will be active at the same time - you'll be able to prioritize and pace accordingly.
Your profile
- At least 5 years of experience in People Operations, ideally within a startup or scaling environment
- Hands-on experience in talent acquisition / recruitment, including managing full or partial hiring cycles
- Strong people-first mindset, with high emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for helping teams grow
- Practical knowledge of German labor law, including employment contracts, leave entitlements, and payroll basics
- Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on attitude - equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves on operational tasks and contributing to bigger-picture thinking as Vyoma grows.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience hiring for deep tech, engineering-heavy, or space/aerospace roles -familiarity with technical candidate profiles
- Interest in topics such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) or leadership development
- Experience working within hybrid/remote structures
- German language skills (preferred)
Please note:
- Given the operational and relationship-intensive nature of this role, we're looking for someone based in or willing to relocate to Munich.
- In the event of a required security clearance, security-related aspects within the meaning of § 13 SÜG may affect the application.
Why us?
- We nurture your growth. Our employees are key to the success of Vyoma, that is why we want you to grow fast and assume greater responsibility. We also invest in your training while on the job.
- Transparency. At each step of the way, from recruitment to onboarding to having a permanent position, you will know where you stand and have a clear roadmap, with timeline, goals and expectations.
- Accountability and Feedback. Fostering open and direct lines of communication is crucial for the success of individuals and our teams, that is why we encourage people to speak up and maintain flat hierarchies.
- Your time is valuable. Work should not trump private life, that is why we offer 30 days of holidays, the possibility to work from home, and flexible working hours.
- The perks. Effort should be compensated appropriately, which is why we offer a competitive salary, a private pension plan, transportation allowances, 5 days of paid sick leave for childcare per year for all parents and other benefits.
- We are all social animals. We don't just work hard, but we know how to have fun together during our weekly Happy Hours and Game Nights.
About us
Our offices are located very centrally in Munich (Bonner Platz). Amongst others, you can expect a great (very international) team atmosphere, highly qualified colleagues, flexible working hours, remote/hybrid work, and a very exciting company vision.
